  1. This is the approach I took to my IBS and I found it helped enormously.
    Usefully, after your gut has had chance to calm right down (I gave it 6 months), you can try reintroducing things to see what you can tolerate. This also enables you to spot very quickly which foods your gut doesn’t like, so you can make sure you avoid those or eat them in very small quantities. It can be strange to see what sets you off! (Who knew I would react so interestingly to innocent little mushrooms?)
