Tomorrow I drive to Loughborough University, having volunteered my body for medical science ( again ).
The team there are investigating the effects of caffeine on SCI patients.
It means no coffee ( or alcohol ) for a couple of days – that’s a bloody relief to be honest.
The day after I try proper adapted canoeing in a Va’a boat with an outrigger, in Stoke on Trent with a lad injured 7 years ago in a moped accident , having just left the army. Dan has since canoed the Misissippi (2,500 miles ) with a few mates. He read my blog and got in touch.
For me it’ll be trying it, and trying not to capsize and drown ( Part 2 ).
