I had a great night last week.
My lovely friends, Leigh and Bev very generously treated me to dinner and théâtre, with drinks too!
Leigh got through the disabled booking process and organised the tickets for Good, featuring that TimeLord fella, Dai Tennant ( but you didn’t know he was a Welsh TimeLord )
The play itself wasn’t so straightforward, with a few characters playing about a hundred parts, and could have done with us reading about the plot/ script/ subject more ( at all, even ).
It was good nonetheless, though not in any way cheerful.. given it was about Nazis and the build up to the Holocaust…
The company ( L&B, rather than the company of actors ) was the best part.
It doesn’t matter what you do if you are with real friends doing it. … I think.
Massive thank you to them both.
And on the weekend Racy Tracey came to stay. We went to Wembley and saw Sigrid.. now I saw her in Shepherds Bush when she was just starting out. I instantly recognised a superstar in the making.
Three years on and she’s filling Wembley Arena, with diehard fans.
If you see one singer, see her. She’s really really brilliant.
And also she’s not in any way sold out to the ( pressure I’m sure ) to ‘ sex herself up ‘.
She’s in jeans,a tee shirt and trainers.
No backing dancers or dance routine – just her doing what she does – sing.
Top night!
Then on Sunday me n our Trace went into London and saw more sights – the Albert Memorial, the Albert Hall, went the length of the Serpentine, then south to Knightsbridge and saw the Harrods Xmas lights, went inside for a wander amongst the moneyed of London, followed by a wander to South Kensington… for a peek.
Tracey on the bus and me chasing by Triride… the usual stuff home. Loads of fellas in cars filming me and shouting ‘ man that’s sick/ how fast does it go/ smile you’re on Tik Tok…
If you see me as a Tik Tok sensation, let me know!
