And then my friend, Nev Millard, turned up.
He’s the man in the wheelchair, whose eyes I tested about 7 years ago, and captivated me with his bravery about his situation ( his paralysis, and his refusal to give up )
We’re now mates enough for he and his ( I’ve not yet had the honour to meet ) wife, to drive for 2 hours, to visit me in hospital, to make sure I’ve not plummeted into depression again.
Aren’t people just amazing?
I didn’t know it was going to take two hours. If I had I might have thought twice but saying that I had already brought the grapes and magazines and the mags were far too intellectual for me. It was great to see you on a high. Next time I might run the gauntlet and take the train ( that would be a first for me). Keep on the up and good luck for your next op.
Onwoods and upwoods.
