After the success / popularity of my last ‘guess the … of ‘ question, I’ve now got another.

It’s not for the squeamish, but it’s my blog, not anybody else’s.

So, for the £2 Poudland voucher, guess the weight ( estimated by the nurse ) of the amount of ‘ compacted stool’ ( that’s shit, by another name ) that has been removed from me, by him, over the last 3 days?

It’s good that I can’t get banned from writing whatever I like in my own blog, or I think it would soon come to that.

I now look back at my mental state after my last operation and realise that perhaps I wasn’t quite normal after all.

But that what I was experiencing was actually euphoria, rather than depression.
Everything seemed funny to me, including car crashes.

My God, it’s been a weird month.

That’s more then the total of the last 3 days.

Things getting better, all around.

I was just reminded that I was also banned from somewhere else, in a text message from a fellow student at the time:

Your Banning blog omitted UMIST Srudents’ Union (December 1986). Go, Dawk !

UMIST was a university in Manchester, and I was only there for one night..
Like I say, they all seemed out to get me…

And then my friend, Nev Millard, turned up.

He’s the man in the wheelchair, whose eyes I tested about 7 years ago, and captivated me with his bravery about his situation ( his paralysis, and his refusal to give up )
We’re now mates enough for he and his ( I’ve not yet had the honour to meet ) wife, to drive for 2 hours, to visit me in hospital, to make sure I’ve not plummeted into depression again.

Aren’t people just amazing?

The physios, doctors, occupational therapists, nurses and admin staff … have all been so fascinated/intrigued and impressed by the exercise value of my Powerspin thingy, and the fact that people ( well, me ) lying in hospital beds can have a very vigorous workout without even sitting up, that they’ve just ordered an initial 20 of them for patient use in this hospital.

I think it’s pretty cool that I’ve potentially made a difference to possibly an awful lot of future patients here ( and who knows where else, once word gets around the hospitals ).

Just wish I was on commission ?

Never mind, money has never, ever been a priority in my life.

Like I said.. London buses… nothing for hours, then 3 turn up at the same time.

As I type, he’s taking the metal staples out of the skin on my back.
I asked him to start at the bottom, as I can’t feel those ones, then as he goes up I’ll feel some a bit, and some a lot, but to count them as he goes along.

There’s no anaesthetic for this.

Guess the number?
