USA.

So I’ll probably go back to America in late January, and until May.

Thats a long time, living fairly indepently, as a paralysed person. It’s a scary proposition, for all the physical reasons, plus the emotional ones.

The people that work there are all incredibly friendly, including Dr Susan Harkema, Dr Mike Stillman, Jamie Ochsner, and Sean Stills , but they’re not ‘friends’ – well not as yet, anyway. So I’ll be living in a sort of hotel/ hostel, a mile or so from the research centre, in the winter. I’ve never been a TV watcher, but fear I might have to become one ( that’s if the room has a TV! )

Basically then, if you want to come and visit me… You can!

  1. I’m so glad you’re going. It will be tough being away from your girls again, but this time you know why, and you know you’ll work hard and go home to a life with your family that will be improved by your new skills. I felt sure their reaction would be to say ‘go!!!’ but it’s always best to check with wives first. 🙂

Where will you be? Kentucky? Oh my. George Clooney and Johnny Depp were both born in Kentucky. Excuse me, I’m just off to search for plane tickets…
